Creativity, Eventually Found.

Within a cage of bone and thought,

A flame is kindled, creativity sought,

For three score years it laid at rest,

Until this time, it considered best,

Unshackled now it takes to flight,

With words appearing throughout the night.

No chains to bind nor walls to confine,

A wonderful world inside my mind,

A constant cascade of rhythmic rhymes fall on the floor,

Each thought an opening to so much more,

My imagination dances throughout the stars, and across the seas,

It started first as a gentle breeze,

But became a tempest in my mind.

The right words now, I crave to find,

When they escape or fade away,

A terrible pain for the rest of the day.

The infinite seems not so impossible,

As negative thoughts are so imperceptible.

Dimensions ripple and time dissolves,

Questions bloom and truth evolves,

What caused this outburst I do not know, and do not care

But with the world I long to share,

So let it wander, let it be,

My creative mind at last is free,

It gives me pleasure and sometimes mirth,

To think its been buried within me since birth.
