Like roots that crack the stoney ground,
You reach for rain, but none is found,
To rise again despite the fall,
A force unshaken, standing tall.
The storm may howl, and the trees will bend,
But you endure to the very end,
Through a trial of fire, the ultimate test,
Your spirit burns within your chest.
The road is long, and the slope is steep,
Yet still you climb but still you keep
A light within, a hope so strong,
The will to fight, to prove them wrong.
For every scar upon your body and in your mind,
Is proof of battles, of life defined,
You are not broken you can survive,
You flex, you grow, you rise, you actually thrive!
