Odds Too High?

They said the odds were stacked too high,

That dreams like mine would surely die,

But step by step, I climbed, I fought,

With all the strength my soul had wrought.

And now I stand, the bad times behind,

The ripples of their doubts are now resigned,

For in my hands the victory’s mine,

Proof that life can be redesigned.

Now if you find yourself in doubt,

Do realise that you have some clout,

Carry on day by day, just persevere,

And you’ll discover why you’re really here.

Remember then that you only really lose,

When you give in, and that’s for you to choose,

No one else should dare tell you that lie, That the odds against you are stacked too high.
