Every Decision I’ve Ever Made

Every decision I’ve ever made has been made out of fear,

Fear of failure, fear of loss,

Fear of even not being able to just give a toss,

Fear of rejection,

Fear of seeing my own reflection,

Fear of humiliation,

Fear of being an abomination,

Fear of missing out,

Fear of not having sufficient clout.

Playing it safe and being risk averse,

I am a coward, and it is such a curse.

Why not allow courage to decide my fate?

Courage to love and not to hate,

Courage to wing it without a plan,

Courage to just being my own man,

Courage to say yes, and not default too no,

Courage to shine, to be happy and grow.

I can now see an alternative way,

Perhaps I should’ve taken it, but in truth, who can say?
