Give Up Your Guns

For the sake of the god that you hold so dear,

Give up your guns and let go of your fear.

They are tools of deluded people who think they are fun,

Driving around howling at the moon and shooting at the sun.

Children are dying in schools and in churches,

Whilst society to the right it worryingly lurches.

Then up goes the cry it is our right to bear arms,

In case we are attacked in our homes or our farms,

It is not the gun that kills you see,

It is the nutcase that pulls the trigger and that nutcase might be me.

So, answer me this what sense is out there,

In selling rifles with insufficient care,

In public places they claim it is defence,

Yet selling an AR-15 makes such little sense.

I look at the numbers of lost innocent lives,

And then suffer the pain of listening to lies.

Look at the numbers in the UK I do urge.

The deaths of our children are not suffering a surge.

Yes, we have knives and crime to be sure,

But with a knife it is difficult to start a cruel war,

Some children are killed and that makes me angry and makes me cry,

But I thank our society, the scum of our land will not have the chance for a rifle to buy.
