You Think You Know Me?

How dare you say you know me well,

You have no idea how I suffer, when I go through my hell,

I laugh at your jokes, and I smile when I hurt,

My heart is broken, my spirit in the dirt.

How dare you say you know me well,

My soul has gone, I am just a shell,

My eyes are blank my head bows down,

I flail and flounder as I slowly drown.

How dare you say you know me well,

You see my face, but you cannot tell,

Of the storms that rage within my head,

Of silent screams and anger that you have fed.

How dare you say you know me well,

You never saw the way that I fell,

But just watch me now, I will rise and fight,

As now I see you in a different light.

I am more than what I have ever been,

This is the real me you have never seen,

I may have stumbled, I may have cried,

But you have never known me, you are just a fool that has lied.
