I am existing but my existence is diminishing.
My intellect is vanishing and my body becoming disgusting.
Life force is simply evaporating.
My purpose for living is fading,
yet I keep consuming resources that are shrinking.
Meanwhile morals are eroding
while civilisation is imploding.
Lies are extinguishing the truth,
Leaving reason suffocating,
decaying and unraveling
at speed ever increasing.
Empathy is withering.
Compassion is retreating.
Greed keeps multiplying
while conscience is surrendering.
Every promise is cheapening,
every virtue disappearing
every silence deafening.
We’re scrolling instead of thinking,
reacting instead of listening,
consuming instead of creating,
pretending instead of living.
Every warning keeps repeating,
yet every lesson keeps escaping.
The future is narrowing.
Hope is fragmenting.
Children inherit smoke instead of possibility,
while leaders keep performing,
profits keep outweighing people,
and the damage keeps compounding.
Still we’re smiling for the cameras,
still we’re selling what’s remaining,
still we’re celebrating victories
built on everything we’re burying.
I am existing,
but existence keeps diminishing.
The world keeps spinning,
the clock keeps ticking,
and everything worth saving
keeps slipping.
Nature isn’t vanishing,
but it certainly is a changing.
Dying on the vine,
we cling while slowly dissolving,
until we’re gone.
